Workshop Description:
This process oriented workshop, with Deb S
chwartzkopf, will introduce handbuilders and throwers to new ways of combining clay working techniques. We’ll make templates and hump molds. We will shape slabs, alter cylinders, and then assemble components! Our focus will be making a Liqueur Serving Set. Add to your tool box of tricks as we explore fun, surprising ways to work with clay.

Our set will consist of small cups, a bottle with a stopper, and a tray to hold them all! Deb will demonstrate several variations of each of these functional forms. Build your skills making templates, altering thrown forms, and attaching pieces together.

As we spend time together, conversation may also foray into how where inspiration comes from, surface solutions, professional development tips, ideas about growing a small business, and ways to build our community.  Spark ideas to bring back into your studio practice, build your clay working skills, and join a rich conversation on all things clay!

Demonst
rated Forms:
Bottle (thrown version, blended version, slab version) + mold for slab built body
Cup (thrown version, blended version, slab version) + mold for foot
Tray (blended version, slab version)
